Dome of the Rock Pattern

This pattern features the Dome of the Rock, situated within the Masjid Al Aqsa compound in Al Quds (Jerusalem). Dating back to the 7th century, the Dome of the Rock is the oldest standing Islamic architecture, characterized by a golden dome and octagonal base adorned with geometric designs. Expressions of this iconic structure can be found in various artistic forms, preserving its cultural significance.

Incorporated into this pattern are various motifs, starting with the Haram Tiles motif featuring filled negative space within the dome. Directly beneath is the Key of the Qabbeh Branch motif, followed by a row of Tall Palms motif. The base is outlined using a combination of two borders, the Carnation motif, and the Old Man's Teeth motif.
